Ask me how I feel about Mondays, I dare you.

I’m sick of this “I hate Mondays” bullshit. Is life so terrible that we designate an entire day of the week for complaining? Do we dread our lives so much that we wake up with fear and loathe our very own existence? Gross, I don’t want any part of that.

If I see one more goddamn coffee mug, Instagram post or Monday bashing meme I’m going to lose my shit, y’all.

We hate Mondays because it’s trendy. It’s time to do away with Monday syndrome.

What are Mondays, really? Mondays mark a new beginning. Fresh starts and clean slates. New energy and new perspective. Another glorious opportunity to seize the week with passion and fire. Mondays are the fucking best.

Next Monday, try waking up like you mean it. Greet the world with amazement, curiosity and ecstatic anticipation. That’s what Mondays deserve. A proper hello. A big wet kiss on the lips. A flirty wink and an energetic slap on the butt. Mondays, you’re sexy.

We’re so lucky. We get a reset button every seven days. A do over. A new chapter. Another 168 hours to spend however we damn well please – and yes, our time is a choice. Praise Mondays.

Get in on the Monday movement. Awake with the sunrise. Go for a run if it kills you (and I promise it won’t). Journal. Meditate. Treat yourself to a $10 smoothie. Hit the beach. Work on something you love. Have the best morning sex of your life. Whatever you do, give Mondays a hell of a welcome.
