A natural born rebel, I popped out of the womb with a life theme of disruption. Always searching for the unmarked path, I never accepted societal norms that try to shove us onto conveyor belts destined for ready-made, predictable lives. Not meant to fit in a box, my destiny has always been to burn down systems not designed to honor our one-of-a-kind-ness as human beings on this remarkable planet.

Chain Smoking, Chronically Dissatisfied Cubicle Zombie

I kicked off adulthood as a college dropout with idealist dreams but no conventional avenue to express them. I smoked a pack of cigarettes a day and glugged down gallons of coffee and cheap wine. Chronically depressed, I spent my early twenties existentially defeated and in search of something more meaningful. I landed a series of “dream jobs” and tried ridiculously hard to strive towards a false ideal of success, only to discover, duh, it wasn’t for me.

How I Became a Radically Alive, Soul-Aligned Human

At age 24, I got sober (now 12 years and counting), started doing things that healthy people do–like running, and went from a food regimen of Hot Pockets and Diet Coke to holistic living. I discovered yoga, spirituality, self growth, and entrepreneurship. I left the last desk job I’d ever have, and felt alive and liberated. Unshackled from the idea that I had to zombie-stumble through life, I gave myself permission to start living by my own set of rules.

Coconuts, Palm Trees, & Flipping the Middle Finger to Convention

I flipped the middle finger to my conditioned life and never looked back. I started my first business online, and have been living the laptop life in tropical paradise ever since. I traded cubicles for hammocks, and heels for bare feet. I moved to Central America, and have spent my days island hopping on tiny boats, picking mangoes from trees, and basking in jungle bliss.

Devotion to My Dharma, Soul Purpose, & Life Mission

With wholehearted gratitude, my life is now the breathing embodiment of my dreams. My story is a testament to what’s possible when you give yourself permission to claim your purpose, declare who you are, take brave leaps into the unknown, and succeed on terms that are unapologetically your own.
